Notre Dame Refugee Centre has been working with refugees and asylum seekers for 30 years, thanks to the generosity of those who share our aims and beliefs.

Based in Leicester Square, in the heart of Central London, this year, Notre Dame Refugee Centre (NDRC) celebrates its 30th anniversary of supporting refugees and asylum seekers in London.

The charity was originally established by Notre Dame de France in 1996 to deliver the social teachings of the Catholic Church through practical support for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. It was then registered as an independent charity in 2007 while maintaining our founding values and mission.  

Today, we work with people of all faiths and none, providing immigration advice, advocacy, and support to refugees and people seeking asylum across London, guided by the principles of human dignity, compassion, and social justice.

Our aim is to provide expert advice, support and casework on immigration, welfare and housing issues for refugees and asylum seekers from across London.  Many of our visitors are French-speaking, but we have welcomed visitors from more than 90 different countries over the five past years.

We are available for refugees and asylum seekers regardless of nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation or faith.  We continue to offer services in both French and English.

​We work in partnership with Women for Refugee Women to provide specialist advice to the women in their network.

We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registered charity no. 1177990.

Our Immigration Advisers are registered with IAA (Immigration Advice Authority)​ at Levels 1 to 3.
