Our Centre desperately needs funding to support vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees. We continue to see large numbers of people, many of whom are destitute. We offer legal advice, housing and benefit advice, counselling, ESOL classes, art therapy, and clothing. All visitors benefit from the specialised advice that we are able to offer.
Many of our visitors are from countries ravaged by war and political conflict. We have, up to now, specialised in advice for French-speaking asylum seekers and refugees: the majority have come from the Democratic Republic of Congo. But we are now seeing increasing numbers from elsewhere: the closure of many small, specialised advice centres due to funding cuts has contributed to this increased demand for our services.
The funds raised through this page will go towards providing a whole range of advice to some of the most disadvantaged people in London and to maintaining our full programme of support services and activities.
