Notre Dame All Stars Football team are runners up !
BRAVO, WHAT AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE !!
From the newly born « NOTRE DAME All STARS football team » !!

On Saturday 15 July a squad of 13 players from the Notre Dame Refugee Centre took part for the first time in its history in the Refugee Football World Cup organized by the Red Cross in Shoreditch.
The “Notre Dame All Stars 5-aside Football Team”, the name adopted by the team, surfed through the tournament beating all the competition in an stunning way and reached the final to play against the RnB Ballerz team.
Both teams played an amazing game which resulted in a draw. Penalties followed and unfortunately for the Notre Dame team, the RnB Ballerz’s goal keeper dashed our hopes by saving the final penalty.
But what a performance by the ND All Stars who played outstandingly and are to be congratulated in finishing as runners up, particularly after only one training session. It is encouraging for the future, and they have know decided to continue and create a team and to train regularly from September.
