"English for jobs": searching and applying for jobs

On Thursday mornings, we also have been running a ‘English for Jobs’ Course for students with an intermediate level of English who are entitled to work in the UK, or hope to be able to in the future. Around 8 students attend each week, learning about getting a job in the UK, from CV writing through to interview techniques. We also do some work on computers, learning about job searching on-line. In the afternoon, we offer extra one-to-one support, for individuals who want more intensive help writing their CVs, searching for or applying for jobs. It’s been a great class, with motivated students keen to work. The class ends in Easter, and we are currently reviewing what is needed for next term.
