Art Therapy group: a safe and confidential space
The art therapy group is preparing itself for an ending as this is our last week together. Thankfully, an we have an art teacher that will be volunteering over the summer before the group resumes again in September with a new art therapist trainee.

As an open group that varies in numbers, we have over the last few months welcomed new members, encouraging people to engage intuitively and expressively with the materials. A discussion is held at the end of every session where we share our artworks, perhaps a simple meaning behind each painting. Between the art making, the laughter, the encouragement and the sharing of stories, the group has been established as a safe and confidential space, providing members with a sense of familiarity and support.
