Drop-in volunteer

At Notre Dame Refugee Centre, we extend a warm welcome to refugees and asylum seekers. Our centre is a place where individuals can find expert advice and the opportunity to participate in a range of activities. We have many volunteer opportunities available at our centre!

Drop-in Session Volunteer

On Mondays and Thursdays, we run our drop-in sessions from 10:00am-2:00pm. As a Drop-in Session volunteer you will tasked with welcoming and registering clients.

 

The following three areas you may be allocated:

  • Welcoming desk 

  • Socialising Café 

  • Sandwiches

General Support Volunteer

During our drop-in sessions, we offer a General Support service. As a General Support Volunteer, you will be tasked with helping clients to understand and navigate systems within the UK and help them access the information they require.

Volunteer Team Leader

During our drop-in sessions, clients are welcome to take items from the centre’s clothing bank. As a Team Leader, you will be tasked with working alongside the Support Services Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the drop-in session.

Clothing Bank Assistant

During our drop-in sessions, clients are welcome to take items from the centre’s clothing bank. This role is focused on providing clients with clothing and toiletries as well as sorting donations we receive at the centre.
